Finding by keywords
Firstly, when searching for a particular image, try not to be too general.
For example, if you want a picture of a tractor ploughing a field, typing in the word ‘agriculture’ will not necessarily bring up all the images of that type. Simply because not every farming image will have the word, ‘agriculture’ as a keyword.
On the other hand if you key in ‘tractor’ you will get every image in the database that contains a tractor.
Likewise if you want an image of a broad bean plant, keying in ‘gardening’ will bring up an unspecific collection of images. Key in ‘broad bean’ and you get all relevant images, and you can make your choice knowing you have seen all the image options available.
Seasons and months by keyword
All images have the month and location in the keywording, but not always seasons such as ‘summer’ or ‘winter’ etc.
So if you want a picture of Norfolk in the winter, key in ‘Norfolk November’ or ‘Norfolk December’ etc. By keying in ‘winter’ you will again get an unspecific set of images.
Animal, plant and bird names
Animal, bird and plant names can take many forms, for example.
If you want an image of a ‘Yellowhammer’, also key in ‘Yellow Hammer’ likewise key in ‘hawkmoth’ and ‘hawk moth’.
